Any advice would be helpful!EDIT: I'm changing my review to 5 stars cause I don't want it to reflect badly on the facility. Maybe I did something wrong or you're supposed to go in already relaxed. I don't know why I felt that way and I'm still trying to figure it out (my boyfriend LOVED it). I was still hoping to see some of the longer-term benefits such as better sleep but last night I woke up at 4 and couldn't sleep again for over 2 hours. Then, oddly enough, I felt incredibly anxious after drying off. The float itself was alright but the only sort of sensation I got was not knowing where my arms/hands were. I'd been coming off from a stressful week so I was pretty hyped for this experience after learning about all the benefits and such, but the strange thing is, I had the complete opposite effect of almost all of them. The facility itself was well kept and wasn't too difficult to find. I don't normally post negative reviews but felt obligated to share my experience just in case someone else can relate. Bottom line is that the folks at this True REST Float Spa location have done it right. It only lasted a couple of hours, but I'm told that over time, with consistent visits to the float tank, it will give me relief for longer and longer stretches. I suffer from chronic pain and was very surprised to have relief from much of my pain after one float. It feels warm at first but once your body adjusts it matches your body temp perfectly. The water is extremely buoyant! Perfect support of your body. When I closed and locked the door I already felt isolated from all the outside annoyances.Being in the tank is interesting for a newcomer like me. The float rooms are very nice and quiet with a rainfall shower. They made sure I was comfortable and asked me more than once if I would like an herbal tea, water, or some time on the O2 bar. The service from the staff was wonderful. I will not participate at the oxygen bar unless everyone there is wearing masks or until after I have received my vaccine. I feel like the whole experience would be much more relaxing if I did not have to worry about non-mask wearers. That said, because interaction with others is limited, I will probably return at a later date when COVID numbers have dropped more. A lot of people say that part is really great so I'm sad it was not an atmosphere where I could feel safe. Later, I did not feel comfortable participating in the oxygen bar since no one else in the area was wearing a mask, so I just left. Luckily, after the appointment started, I didn't see anyone and was able to have a great experience. I have several very high risk family members so this caused me a lot of anxiety (NOT what you want at a spa). I loved getting into the deeper levels of relaxation. My one complaint: Over half of the people I saw there-including the staff member who gave me a tour-were either not wearing a mask at all, or were just wearing it below their chin. My spouse even commented afterward on how much more relaxed I seemed. Event features included: Magic Show Craft Candy, Candy, Candy!!
